Day 7: Horseback riding

Today we drove out to the Rain forest and took a horseback riding tour around the base of it. It was sooo beautiful but I didn't have my camera on the horse with me because I was told I needed both hands (I didn't though, I had a free hand the whole time). But we did take pictures as we drove toward the Rain forest and a few of us on the horses before and after we went on the ride. Tomorrow we are going on an all day trip INTO the Rain forest where we will be hiking!

The mountains in the background here are part of the Rain forest.
We drove a little too far at first and ended up at the entrance into the Rain forest.

This is the driveway into Hacienda Carabah where they did 4-wheeling tours, Horseback riding tours, go-cart rides around a track (which you can see there on the left), Mountain biking, and Kayaking.

Here are the Horse stalls where you can see part of the Rain forest in the background.
Chase on his horse "Bambi". Mallory on her horse. Mallory and I were never told the names of our horses :(

The horses were trained to walk to these trees when they were given riders and wait until the tour guide whistled for them to follow.

Here we are returning from our hour long ride through the base of the rain forest and there's me regretting not bringing my camera because everything we saw was gorgeous!! We saw iguanas, turtles, lizards, cows, and dogs. Tomorrow's Rain forest hike will surely produce thousands of pictures so except another blog update tomorrow night!
